LifeMatters Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides expert, confidential, personal consultation for concerns including financial and legal matters, relationship challenges, and personal and family problems. The EAP for state employees and family members is provided by LifeMatters.

Minnesota State Board Policies

The Board of Trustees has established the following policies. All Board Policies apply to employees of the Minnesota State system office, as well as employees of the colleges and universities of Minnesota State.  

Additionally, some public entities have asked employees and visitors to the workplace to refrain from using fragrances or be conservative in their use of similar products. (Source: LRP Publications) While there is no policy regarding this topic for employees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, please be aware of this information.

Retirement Training Seminars

  • State Retirement Seminar: For employees with five or fewer years before retiring.
  • Pre-Planning for Retirement: For employees who have five to thirty or more years before retirement.

These seminars are presented through the State of Minnesota's Enterprise Learning and Development unit. Click here and scroll down to Retirement Planning.

TIAA-CREF Webinars

TIAA-CREF offers a series of educational retirement seminars for employees, which are held during the academic year.  Resources from past seminars are also listed here.

Seniority Rosters are posted by November 30 and May 31 each year. Such rosters shall be based on transactions occurring up to and through the pay period closest to October 31 and April 30 respectively each year.

The seniority rosters are determined by the Company Seniority Date.

State of Minnesota Training:

Through the Department of Management Analysis & Development (MAD), the state offers training in a wide variety of areas including Facilitation Skills, Pre-Planning for Retirement, and Project Leadership.
