Minnesota State Presidents

Each college and university within the Minnesota State system is headed by a president who serves as the chief executive officer. The appointment of presidents is governed by Board of Trustees Policy 4.2 and they report to the system chancellor.

Presidents are responsible for leading faculty, staff, and students in developing and implementing the college or university mission. They are the primary spokesperson for the college or university and periodically consult with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Duties and responsibilities include providing innovative educational leadership, allocating campus resources, employing personnel, following system policies and procedures, and implementing the system's strategic plan.
