Artist Statement

While my professional work is in a technical area, I am a soft skills person who serves as a bridge between technology and general technology consumers. My background in the visual arts and education has been a huge asset in my day-to-day work. Much of my personal work is a collision of my technical side and my artistic side. I am drawn to the hidden, abandoned and juxaposed objects and beings that exist beside us everyday. The discovery of what goes unnoticed by others lures me into both common and uncommon places. There is pleasure in sharing a new vision of faintly familiar place, time or feeling. I strive to honor the sources of my inspiration and that honor pushes me to review my work more closely and improve it as well as learn to accept others' appreciation for it.
