The proposed request focuses on collaborative strategies to increase Minnesota’s prosperity and provides an interdependent funding approach, that includes internal efficiencies and expense reductions, increased support from private sources, a modest increase in tuition, and limited additional state support.
Chancellor Rosenstone will review details of the proposed request, which calls for funding initiatives and actions focused on three strategic objectives:
1. Advance the competitiveness of Minnesota’s workforce by graduating students with both the foundational and technical skills needed to succeed.
2. Increase access to higher education for all Minnesotans and ensure that high-quality programs remain affordable and within reach of students from all backgrounds.
3. Accelerate student completion of certificate, diploma and degree programs.
