Chancellor James H. McCormick plans to present the proposed strategic plan to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees for approval at its meeting June 18 and 19. The proposed three-year plan sets strategic directions for 2002-2005 for the 34 institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and University system.
The plan was developed from input received at forums held with community, faculty, staff and student groups during Chancellor McCormick's visits to all 53 campuses in the system and through his legislative visits and the work of the Citizens Advisory Commission.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is made up of seven state universities and 27 two-year community, technical and combined community and technical colleges. The system serves about 225,000 students each year in credit-based courses and nearly 95,000 in non-credit courses.
