Wednesday, March 22, 2000 - MnSCU Board Names Opperman Chair of Chancellor Search Advisory Committee

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees today named Vance K. Opperman chair of the chancellor search advisory committee. Opperman, president and chief executive officer of Key Investment, Inc., is the former president of West Publishing Company.
"We are pleased that someone with Mr. Opperman's background and experience has agreed to serve as chair of this important committee," said Michael Vekich, chair of the MnSCU Board of Trustees.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is made up of 36 state universities, community and technical colleges. The system serves approximately 230,000 students a year with a fall 1998 enrollment of about 147,000.
