July 23, 1999 - Thompson Named President of Ridgewater College
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees
this week named Colleen Thompson president of Ridgewater College
with campuses in Hutchinson and Willmar.

1998 following the departure of Mary Retterer.
In appointing Thompson, the board followed the recommendation of

on the process of filling Ridgewater's presidency on a permanent
basis. Thompson received favorable recommendations from these groups.

instructor and dean of instruction. She has served as vice president
of academic affairs since 1997 in addition to her interim appointment.

comprehensive community and technical colleges in 46 communities
around Minnesota and a campus in Japan. The system serves approximately
