Lori Voss Named President of Minnesota West Community and Technical College

Interim President Named for Minnesota West Morris J. Anderson, chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, has appointed Lori Voss interim president for Minnesota West Community & Technical College, which has campuses in Canby, Granite Falls, Jackson, Pipestone and Worthington.

Voss will replace Ralph Knapp, who is retiring June 30. Anderson said Voss will serve until a permanent president is appointed by the Board of Trustees in July. The board is expected to chose among four finalists.

Voss, a resident of Canby, is vice president of finance and human resources for Minnesota West. She began her career in higher education finance in 1986 at Southwestern Technical College, which became a campus of Minnesota West in 1997. Before 1986, she worked as a certified public accountant in Canby


Minnesota's 31 state community and technical colleges, and universities serve more than 430,000 students across the state.
