June 4, 1997 - Public hearing on tuition, budgets to precede June
board meeting
The Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU)
will hold a public hearing on fiscal year 1998 college and university
operating budgets and tuition recommendations on Wednesday, June 18, from
9 to 11 a.m., prior to the previously scheduled 1 p.m. board meeting.
The public hearing and trustees meeting will both be held in International
Hall on the fourth floor of the World Trade Center, 7th and Cedar streets,
downtown St. Paul.
At the board meeting, trustees will discuss the 1998 capital projects
budget, in addition to tuition recommendations and campus operating budgets.
Action on these three items is slated for a board meeting scheduled for
July 16.
The June board meeting will be broadcast statewide to all MnSCU campuses
for viewing by faculty, staff and students; interested members of the
public; and the news media.
MnSCU serves approximately 145,000 students at its state universities,
community colleges, technical colleges and comprehensive community and
technical colleges. The system includes 53 campuses around the state,
plus the Akita campus in Japan.
