colleges were approved today by the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State

The colleges are scheduled to consolidate on July 1, 1996, bringing to
seven the number of neighboring community colleges and technical colleges
that have combined since July 1, 1995.

approved as the name for the consolidation of Hibbing Community College
and Range Technical College.
Ridgewater College, A Community and Technical College is the name
approved for the consolidation of Willmar Community College and Hutchinson-Willmar

the rivers and lakes near the colleges and to the glacial ridge in the

Rochester Community and Technical College was approved as the
name for the consolidation of Rochester Community College and Minnesota
Riverland Technical College.
All three names were recommended by the colleges after advice was sought
