The A.S. Degree in Business Administration program includes instruction in management theory, economics, marketing, business decision-making, accounting and several general education goal areas. Within the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, the general education components of the Business Administration program will transfer to other colleges and universities. The business-focused courses do not fall under the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum; however, the likelihood of transferability is strong. Pine Technical College has created several articulation agreements with other four-year colleges in the Business Administration program. An articulation agreement is a guarantee between a two-year and four-year college that complete transfer of the two-year degree into a four-year program will occur. A program that generally prepares individuals to plan, organize, direct, and control the functions and processes of a firm or organization. Includes instruction in management theory, human resources management and behavior, accounting and other quantitative methods, purchasing and logistics, organization and production, marketing, and business decision-making.
