This program teaches sociological research skill, and knowledge about human behavior in areas such as, marriage/family, gender, ethnic/minority groups, culture, environment, social psychology and sociological theory. Using scientific procedures, sociologists study human social interaction and social phenomena such as organizations, communities and societies, as well as religion, social inequality, population and minority studies.The sociology major is an ideal complement to other majors such as social work, psychology, criminal justice, business administration, mass communication, political science, economics, history and other social science disciplines.
