About this Program

This program prepares students to perform technical and skilled tasks, including physical examination, medical record maintenance, patient nursing, body fluid analyses, emergency treatment, anesthesia monitoring, radiography and surgical assisting. The program includes coursework and an internship at a veterinary clinic or hospital, laboratory, research facility or zoo. In addition, each student spends three months in animal hospital practice rotation at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital, St. Paul, MN.
