The campus has a natural setting that includes an urban forest, nature trails and a trout stream.
- Lake Superior College offers more than 90 technical majors, programs for transfer, continuing education and customized training for business and industry.
- A long-time provider of online education, the college operates one of the largest online instructional programs in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, serving more than 800 full-year-equivalent students and offering more than 140 courses each semester. Online programs include hemodialysis patient care, accounting, business administration and transfer degrees.
- The college offers semester-abroad programs in Italy and Mexico.
- The Emergency Response Training Center provides world-class training for emergency response professionals, including firefighters and emergency medical technicians.
