Terri Thomas, Rochester, is a student enrolled at Metropolitan State University, where she is pursuing an Individualized Bachelor of Arts degree. She has earned her associate degree and three certificates for computer-aided drafting from Rochester Community and Technical College. Thomas has been active in the student government at Rochester Community and Technical College as well as a governing council member and fiscal committee member with the Minnesota State College Student Association. Thomas served on two committees of the Rochester Diversity Council where she is an active member.
Thomas was an active soldier in the United States Army and spent over 18 months in the Gulf War. She was a non-commissioned officer in the United States National Guard and a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty appointed Thomas to the Board of Trustees in 2008 to a two-year term expiring June 30, 2010. Thomas represents technical college students on the Board of Trustees.
