Jacob C. Englund, Minneapolis, is a student enrolled at The University of Minnesota’s - Carlson School of Management. At Carlson, Englund is pursuing an undergraduate degree majoring in Finance and International Business and minoring in Economics.
In May of 2009, Englund received an Associate of Arts Degree with emphasis in Accounting, from Normandale Community College. At Normandale, Englund was the Vice President of Student Senate, President of the International Business Students Association, Vice President of Kappa Beta Delta, the International Honor Society for Accredited Business Programs, and member of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for two-year colleges.
Prior to Normandale, Englund attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. While attending Berklee, Englund co-founded Dropping Daylight, a national recording artist signed to A&M Octone Records. Englund continues to play music locally with worship bands and independent artists.
Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Englund to the Board of Trustees in 2008 to a two-year term expiring June 30, 2010. Englund represents community college students on the Board of Trustees.
