Brett K. Anderson, Rosemount, is a student at Metropolitan State University where he is working towards a master's degree in nursing leadership and management. Anderson is President and Chief Nursing Officer of CareLogix Nursing Solutions, LLC which provides contracted nursing and care management solutions to metro area health and community organizations. Anderson is a member of the Board of Directors for Debate Minnesota, a non-profit, tax-exempt and nonpartisan 501 c(3). Also, Anderson serves as an adjunct nursing instructor with Saint Paul College for the 2012-2013 academic year and, previously, with Minnesota State University, Mankato during the 2011-2012 academic year.
In 2011, Anderson earned a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from MSU, Mankato in nursing and was designated undergraduate student of the year by the Mu Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society, in 2011. At MSU, Anderson held a number of student leadership roles including vice president of the Minnesota State Student Association.Governor Mark Dayton appointed Anderson to the Board of Trustees July 1, 2011, to a two-year term that expires June 30, 2013. Anderson represents state university students on the Board of Trustees.
