Appointment of President of Riverland Community College
Upon the recommendation of Chancellor McCormick, the Board of Trustees
appointed Dr. Terrence Leas as President of Riverland Community College
effective July 14, 2003 subject to the completion of an employment contract,
which the Board authorized the Chancellor to negotiate in consultation
with the Chair of the Board and Chair of the Human Resources Policy
Committee in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Personnel
Plan for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities' Administrators.
Southwest State University Request for a Name Change
The Board of Trustees approved changing the name of Southwest State
University to Southwest Minnesota State University, effective July 1,
2003.
Anoka-Hennepin Technical College Request for a Name Change
The Board of Trustees approved changing the name of Anoka-Hennepin
Technical College to Anoka Technical College, effectively immediately.
Minnesota State College Student Association Fee Proposal
The Board of Trustees endorsed the decrease of the Minnesota State
College Student Association fee from $.30 to $.28 per semester credit
hour for the academic year 2003-2004, beginning with fall semester 2003.
Proposed Amendments to Board Policy 1A.1 Minnesota State Colleges
and Universities Organization and Administration
The Board of Trustees adopted the amendments to Policy
1A.1 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Organization and Administration.
Proposed Policy 1C.1 Board of Trustees Code of Conduct and Proposed
Amendments to Policy 1A.2 System Organization and Administration
The Board of Trustees approved Policy
1C.1 Code of Conduct, and amended Policy
1A.2, Part 7 to delete language recodified in the new 1C.1.
