Transfer of Facilities to the Revenue Fund
The Board of Trustees approved the transfer of the Tau Center operated
by Winona State University and the parking ramp at Minneapolis Community
and Technical College, under the auspices of Metropolitan State University,
into the Revenue Fund.
Northwest Technical College Reorganization
The Board of Trustees approved the reorganization of institutions
in northwest Minnesota in the following configurations:
- A Community and Technical College at Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls,
Moorhead and Wadena;
- A Community and Technical College at East Grand Forks and Thief
River Falls, and
- A Technical College aligned with Bemidji State University.
The Chancellor shall re-assign administrators are necessary.
Board Approval of Honorary Memberships
The Board of Trustees authorized Chancellor James H. McCormick to accept
honorary memberships with the Minneapolis Club and Town & Country Club,
and to pay usage expenses, including authorized meals and meeting rooms,
minimal fees associated with all memberships, in accordance with system
policy and procedure. These memberships shall be used solely in support
of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and shall not be available
for personal use by the Chancellor or others. The Chancellor shall provide
an accounting annually to the Board. Except as other wise determined
by the Board, this approval shall continue in effect for any subsequent
annual renewals of the honorary memberships during the appointment of
Chancellor McCormick.
