Naming Policy
The MnSCU Board of Trustees repealed the language of Policy
3.23 Naming Colleges and Universities in effect prior to April,
1999 and directed the System Office, in consultation with college and
university presidents and Board members, to study the naming policy
and return to the Board with recommendations regarding the policy by
the October 2001 Board meeting.
Repeal of Board Policy 1.2, Relationship to Collective Bargaining
Agreement
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the elimination of carry forward
policy 1.2, Relationship to Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Revisions to Board Policy 4.6, Re-Employment of Early Retirees
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the revisions to policy
4.6, Re-Employment of Early Retirees.
Internal Auditing Report: Network Security
The MnSCU Board of Trustees accepted the MnSCU Network Security report
issued by the MnSCU Office of Internal Auditing.
Office of the Legislative Auditor Reports: Systemwide Access to
MnSCU Data and Statewide Audit Management Letter - Fiscal Year 2000
The MnSCU Board of Trustees accepted the audit reports issued by the
Office of the Legislative Auditor on MnSCU Systemwide Access to MnSCU
Data and the Fiscal Year 2000 Statewide Management letter.
Program Approval: AAS, Supervisory Management; Certificate, Performance
Management Essentials; Certificate, Supervision Essentials; Certificate,
Leadership Essentials; Certificate, Quality Improvement Essentials;
Certificate, Working Effectiveness Essentials, Century College
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the request by Century College
to offer an AAS in Supervisory Management, a diploma in Supervisory
Management, and certificates in Performance Management Essentials, Supervision
Essentials, Leadership Essentials, Quality Improvement Essentials, and
Working Effectiveness Essentials. Program implementation is April 1,
2001.
Program Approval: Diploma, Electrical Construction and Maintenance
Technology; Dakota County Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Dakota County Technical
College to offer a diploma in Electrical Construction and Maintenance
Technology. Program implementation is August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: Diploma, Aircraft Electronics Technician; Minneapolis
Community and Technical College, Aviation Center
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minneapolis Community
and Technical College to offer a diploma in Aircraft Electronics Technician
at the Aviation Center. Program implementation is August 23, 2001.
Program Approval: Certificate, Agricultural Commodities Marketing
- Riverland Community College, South Central College, Central
Lakes College, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and Ridgewater
College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Riverland Community College,
South Central College, Central Lakes College, Minnesota West
Community and Technical College, and Ridgewater College to offer a certificate
in Agricultural Commodities Marketing. Program implementation is July
1, 2001.
Program Approval: BS, Alcohol and Drug Studies; Minnesota State
University, Mankato
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State University,
Mankato to offer the BS, Alcohol and Drug Studies. Program implementation
is Fall 2001.
