FY 2002-2207 Capital Budget Recommendations
The Board of Trustees approved the FY 2002-2007 Capital Budget, and
authorized the Chancellor to forward the program to the Governor for
consideration in the FY 2002 state capital budget. See
attached document entitled FY2002-2007 Capital Budget Request, Attachment
E.
Winona State University Science Building Schematic Design
The Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for the New Science
Building and Renovation at Pasteur Hall at Winona State University.
Minnesota State University Moorhead Science Building Schematic Design
The Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for the University
of Minnesota Moorhead Hagen Hall Renovation and Science Laboratory Addition.
Approval of Contract Exceeding One Million Dollars
The Board of Trustees approved the fee structure and terms contained
in the current contract with Wells Fargo Bank Minnesota.
Program Approval: Diploma, Gas Utility Distribution Technician;
Hennepin Technical College, Brooklyn Park
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Hennepin Technical College
to offer a diploma in Gas Utility Distribution Technician at the Brooklyn
Park Campus. Program implementation is August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: BA, Philosophy; Southwest State University
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Southwest State University
to offer the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Program implementation
is August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: BA, Theater, Metropolitan State University
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Metropolitan State University
to offer the Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Program implementation is
August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: BS, GIS/Plant Science; Minnesota State University,
Mankato
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State University,
Mankato to offer the Bachelor of Science in GIs/Plant Science. Program
implementation is August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: MA, Psychology; Metropolitan State University
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Metropolitan State University
to offer the Master of Arts in Psychology. Program implementation is
August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: Certificate, Travel Counselor; Anoka-Hennepin
Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Anoka-Hennepin Technical
College to offer a new certificate in Travel Counselor at Maple Grove.
Program implementation is August 20, 2001.
Program Closures: Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Minnesota
State University Moorhead, Northwest Technical College and Vermilion
Community College
The Board of Trustees approved the requests of Minneapolis Community
and Technical College, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Northwest
Technical College, and Vermillion Community College to close designated
programs. Program closure is effective July 1, 2001.
Amendment to Board Policy 1A.2. Board Expenses, Per Diem and Reimbursement
The Board of Trustees adopted the amendment to Board
Policy 1A.2. Part 2, Board Expenses, Per Diem and Reimbursement.
