Gifts and Grants Report
The MnSCU Board of Trustees accepted the FY 2000 Gifts and Grants Report consistent with Board Policy 7.7, Part 4.
Ratification of Policies -Board's Mission and Vision
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved MnSCU
Board Policy 1A.1 MnSCU Organization and Administration, Part 2,
Vision and Mission Statements. (Note: The mission and vision statements
were approved by the Board of Trustees on May 17, 2000, but they needed
to be approved again in order to enable staff to update Board Policy
1A.1).
St. Cloud Technical College Remodeling Project Schematic Design
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for the renovation
and additions to the A and B wings at St. Cloud Technical College.
FY 2000-2001 Reserves Report
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the requests of two institutions
(Rainy River Community College and Fond du Lac Tribal and Community
College) seeking to maintain a reserve level above the Board's maximum
guideline of seven (7) percent. The Board also approved the plan proposed
by Hennepin Technical College for reducing its reserve to seven (7)
percent.
Repeal of Policy V1.02.06, Filling of Position by Claiming, Promotion
or Transfer
The Board of Trustees approved the deletion of carry forward policy
V1.02.06, Filling of Position by Claiming, Promotion, or Transfer.
Presidents' Contracts
The Board of Trustees authorized the Chancellor, in consultation with
the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Chair of the Personnel Policy
Committee, to offer employment contracts to the presidents with a term
not to extend beyond June 30, 2002.
Mission Review: Mesabi Range Community and Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved Mesabi Range Community and Technical
College's mission, vision, and purposes.
Program Approval: MS in Nursing, Minnesota State University Moorhead
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State University
Moorhead to offer the Master of Science in Nursing. Program implementation
is scheduled for Fall 2001.
Program Approval: Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Technology;
and Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Technology; Minnesota
State University Moorhead
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State University
Moorhead to offer the Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Technology
and Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Technology. Program
implementation is scheduled for January 2001.
Program Approval: Diploma, Massage Therapist, Lake Superior College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Lake Superior College
of offer a new diploma in Massage Therapist. Program implementation
is scheduled for June 1, 2001.
Program Approval: AAS and Certificate in Information and Communication
Technology, Century College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Century College to offer
a new AAS in Information and Communications Technology and a new certificate,
Information and Communications Technology. Program implementation is
scheduled for August 1, 2001.
Program Approval: Certificate, Massage Therapy, St. Paul Technical
College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by St. Paul Technical College
to offer a new Certificate in Massage Therapy. Program implementation
is scheduled for August 1, 2001.
