FY 2002-2003 Biennial Budget Request
The MnSCU Board of Trustees approved the FY2002-2003 MnSCU biennial
operating budget request of $256 million.
Normandale Community College Science Building Addition Schematic
Design
The Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for the Normandale
Community College Science Building addition.
North Hennepin Community College General Education Building Schematic
Design
The Board of Trustees approved the Schematic Design for the North Hennepin
Community College Phase II addition and renovation.
Winona State University Emergency Generator Project
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Winona State University
to enter into a 10-year contract valued at approximately $2 million
for installation of emergency electrical power generators.
St. Cloud Technical College Property Acquisition
The Board of Trustees approved the purchase of the Boy Scout property
by St. Cloud Technical College.
Mission Review: Pine Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved Pine Technical College's vision, mission,
and statement of purpose.
Program Approval: Bachelor of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance
Management, St. Cloud State University
The Board of Trustees approved St. Cloud State University's request
to offer the Bachelor of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Management.
Program implementation is scheduled for January 2001.
Program Approval: Diploma, Therapeutic Massage Therapist and Certificate,
Message Therapist, Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical, Red
Wing and Winona
The Board of Trustees approved Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical's
request to offer a new Diploma, Therapeutic Massage Therapist and Certificate,
Massage Therapist, at Red Wing and Winona. Program implementation is
scheduled for January 2001.
Program Approval: Certificate, Network Cabling Specialist, Riverland
Community College, Albert Lea
The Board of Trustees approved Riverland Community College's request
to offer a certificate in Network Cabling Specialist at Albert Lea.
Program implementation is scheduled for January 2001.
Office of the Legislative Auditor Financial Audits of Pine Technical
College and Rainy River Community College
The Board of Trustees accepted the financial audit reports issued by
the Office of the Legislative Auditor on Pine Technical College and
Rainy River Community College.
Appointment to Academic Rank
The Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Dr. Roy Saigo, president,
St. Cloud State University, as Professor of Biological Sciences in the
College of Science and Engineering at St. Cloud State University.
Request by Southwest State for Exception to Board Policy 4.6, Re-Employment
of Early Retirees
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Southwest State University
Interim President Dennis Nielsen for an exception to Board Policy 4.6.
Re-Employment of Early Retirees.
Consent Agenda Policy Proposal
The Board of Trustees amended Board
Policy 1A.2, Part 6, Subpart C, by adding a new section, number
three (3) to include the Consent Agenda.
Delegation of Authority for Negotiating Salary of New Chancellor
The Board of Trustees delegated authority to the Chair of the Board,
in consultation with the Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Board, and
the Chair of the Personnel Policy Committee, to negotiate salary and
other contract terms with the new chancellor. The terms negotiated are
subject to approval by the Board.
