Appointment of President of Metropolitan State University
The Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Wilson Bradshaw as president of
Metropolitan State University effective July 1, 2000, under the terms
and conditions of the Personnel Plan for MnSCU Administrators.
Appointment of President of St. Cloud State University
The Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Roy Saigo as president of St. Cloud
State University effective July 1, 2000, under the terms and conditions
of the Personnel Plan for MnSCU Administrators.
Appointment of Interim President of Southwest State University
The Board of Trustees appointed Dennis Nielsen as interim president
of Southwest State University effective July 1, 2000, under the terms
and conditions of the Personnel Plan for MnSCU Administrators.
Election of Board Secretary
The Board of Trustees elected Penny Harris Reynen as the secretary of
the board.
MnSCU Mission and Vision Statements
The Board of Trustees approved the MnSCU Mission and Vision Statements.
Formal Adoption of Board of Trustees Goals
The Board of Trustees approved goal statements pertaining to student
success, institutional excellence and quality, community collaboration
and partnerships and MnSCU system leadership.
Applied Doctorate Report
The Board of Trustees accepted the Applied Doctorate Report and directed
staff to proceed with the recommendations in the report.
FY 2002 - 2007 Capital Budget Guidelines
The Board of Trustees approved the FY 2002 - 2007 Capital Budget Guidelines.
FY 2002 - 2003 Biennial Operating Budget Guidelines
The Board of Trustees approved the FY 2002-2003 Biennial Operating Budget
Guidelines.
Program Approval: Certificate, Painting and Wallcovering, Central
Lakes College, Brainerd
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Central Lakes College,
Brainerd, to offer a Certificate in Painting and Wallcovering. Program
implementation is July 1, 2000.
Program Approval: Certificate, Drywall Finishing, Central Lakes
College, Brainerd
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Central Lakes College,
Brainerd, to offer a Certificate in Drywall Finishing. Program implementation
is July 1, 2000.
Program Approval: Diploma, Internet Systems Administrator, Hibbing
Community College, A Technical and Community College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Hibbing Community College
to offer a new Diploma in Internet Systems Administrator. Program implementation
is August 28, 2000.
Program Approval: AAS, Engineering, Itasca Community College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Itasca Community College
to offer an Associate in Science in Engineering. Program implementation
is scheduled August 1, 2000.
Program Approval: AAS, Industrial Automation Technology, Minnesota
State College, Southeast Technical, Red Wing and Winona
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State College,
Southeast Technical to offer a new AAS and Diploma, Industrial Automation
Technology at Red Wing and Winona. Program implementation is August
1, 2000.
Program Approval: Diploma, Painting and Decorating, South Central College, Minnesota Correctional Facility, Faribault
The Board of Trustees approved the request by South Central College to offer a Diploma in Painting and Decorating at Minnesota Correctional
Facility at Faribault. Program implementation is May 18, 2000.
Repeal of State University Policy 7.4, Emeritus Status
The Board of Trustees repealed state university carry-forward policy
