The Board of Trustees commended Nellie Stone Johnson for the recent publication
of her book, "The Life of an Activist," and presented her with a certificate
of commendation from Governor Ventura.
Acceptance of Environmental Scan of Minnesota State Colleges and
Universities
The Board of Trustees accepted the "Environmental Scan Report" by Lee
Kerschner, Ph.D.
Appointment of Interim Executive Director/Board Secretary
The Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Penny Harris Reynen
as Interim Executive Director/Board Secretary, effective May 1, 2000.
Selection of Executive Search Firm for Chancellor Search
The Board of Trustees approved the selection of A.T. Kearney, Inc. to
assist in the chancellor search.
Appointment of Search Advisory Committee Members
The Board of Trustees approved the Slate Advisory Committee's recommendations
of the following members to serve on the Search Advisory Committee for

University Center Rochester Technology Project - Schematic Design
The Board of Trustees approved the schematic design of the University
Center Rochester Technology Project.
Office of the Legislative Auditor Fiscal Year 1999 Statewide Audit
management Letter
The Board of Trustees accepted the Legislative Auditor's management
letter from the Fiscal Year 1999 Statewide Audit.
Program Approval: AAS, Agricultural Processing Plant Technology,
Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Granite Falls
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota West Community
and Technical College to offer an Associate in Applied Science degree
in Environmental Processing Plan Technology at Granite Falls. Program
implementation is August 1, 2000.
Program Approval: AS, Technical Theatre, Central Lakes College,
Brainerd
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Central Lakes College
to offer an Associate in Science in Technical Theatre. Program implementation
is April 20, 2000.
Program Approval: AAS, Network Administration and Technology; Diploma,
Network Administration and Technology; Certificate, Network Administration
and Technology--CISCO, and Certificate, Network Administration and Technology--Microsoft;
Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical, Red Wing and Winona
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota State College
- Southeast Technical to offer a new AAS and a diploma in Network Administration
and Technology and two certificates, Network Administration and Technology
-- CISCO and Network Administration and Technology -- Microsoft, at
Red Wing and Winona.
Mission Review: Central Lakes College
The Board of Trustees approved Central Lakes College mission, purposes
and vision.
