Special Recognition of David Schroeder, President, Dakota Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved a special commendation for retiring Dakota
County Technical College President David Schroeder for 29 years of service
to the college.
Appointment of President of South Central College
The Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Keith Stover as president
of South Central College effective the end of this summer,
under the terms and conditions of the Personnel Plan for MnSCU Administrators.
Minnesota State University, Mankato - Student Athletics Facilities
Remodeling Project
he Board of Trustees approved the Schematic Design for Phase I of the
Student Athletic Facilities Renovation Project at Minnesota State University,
Mankato.
Revenue Fund FY 2000 Proposed Student Union Fees and Finance Plans
The Board of Trustees approved the FY 2000 Student Union Base Facility
Fee of $130.00 per on-campus FYE and the individual university finance
plans.
FY 2000 Revenue Fund Spending Plan
The Board of Trustees approved the Revenue Fund FY 2000 Spending Plan
Balance as presented on pages 191- 193 of the May Board packet.
South Central College Gift
The Board of Trustees approved the gift of $70,000 from the South Central College Foundation to South Central College.
Red Wing/Winona Technical College Request for Name Change
The Board of Trustees approved the name "Minnesota State CollegeSoutheast
Technical," as the new name for Red Wing/Winona Technical College.
Mission Review: Northland Community and Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the mission statement of Northland Community
and Technical College.
Program Approval: BA, East Asian Studies, Moorhead State University
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Moorhead State University
to offer a BA degree in East Asian Studies. Program implementation is
Fall 1999.
Program Approval: AAS, Information Technology, Anoka-Hennepin Technical
College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Anoka-Hennepin Technical
College to offer an Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology.
Program implementation is August 1, 1999.
Program Approval: AAS, Health Information Technology, Rochester
Community and Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Rochester Community and
Technical College to offer an Associate in Applied Science in Health
Information Technology. Program implementation is August 1, 1999.
Program Approval: AAS, Chiropractic Technician; and Diploma, Chiropractic
Technician, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Pipestone
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota West Community
and Technical College, Pipestone, to offer an Associate in Applied Science
in Chiropractic Technician and a Diploma in Chiropractic Technician.
Program implementation is August 1, 1999.
Program Approval: Diploma, Pharmacy Technician, Minnesota West Community
and Technical College, Worthington
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Minnesota West Community
and Technical College to offer a diploma in Pharmacy Technician at the
Worthington Campus. Program implementation is August 22, 2000.
Program Approval: AS, Biomedical Technologist; Certificate, Biomedical
Technician; and Certificate, Clinical Research Professional, Anoka-Ramsey
Community College, Coon Rapids
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Anoka-Ramsey Community
College to offer an Associate in Science in Biomedical Technologist
and two certificates: Biomedical Technician and Clinical Research Professional
at the Coon Rapids Campus. Program implementation is August 1, 1999.
Program Approval: Diploma, Medical Assistant, Lake Superior College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Lake Superior College
to offer a diploma in Medical Assistant. Program implementation is August
1, 1999.
Program Approval: Advanced Technical Certificate, Multimedia Technologist,
St. Paul Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by St. Paul Technical College
to offer an advanced technical certificate in Multimedia Technologist.
Program implementation is May 20, 1999.
Residential Academy
The Board of Trustees approved the Chancellor's recommendation that
MnSCU serve as the sponsor of the charter school connected to the residential
academy being developed by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of
St. Paul and Minneapolis, and in order for Catholic Charities to receive
the state appropriation of $5.6 million, MnSCU will serve as the recipient's
fiscal agent.
