Ratification of December 1, 1999 Executive Committee Emergency Action Relative to Minnesota State University-Akita
The Board of Trustees ratified the Executive Committee's action of December 1, 1999, for the continued participation of no more than 25 American students in the MSU-A Japanese Area Studies Program for the academic year beginning April 1, 2000.
Minnesota State University-Akita Transition Plan
The Board of Trustees approved the amendments to the 25-year Agreement
with Yuwa-machi, Japan. The Board also authorized the Chancellor to
execute these amendments once legal review is complete.
Board Policy 1A.2 Board of Trustees, Part 2. Board Expenses, Per
Diem and Reimbursement
The Board of Trustees approved the amendments to Board
Policy 1A.2, effective December 15, 1999.
Relocation of MnSCU Board Policy 6.3 Naming Colleges and Universities
The Board of Trustees approved the relocation of Board Policy 6.3 Naming
Colleges and Universities to Chapter 3. The new policy number for Naming
Colleges and Universities is 3.23.
Program Approval: AS, Computer Information Systems, Northland Community
and Technical College
The Board of Trustees approved the request by Northland Community and
Technical College to offer an Associate in Science degree in Computer
Information Systems. Program implementation is August 1, 2000.
Employee Evaluation Policy
The Board of Trustees approved Board Policy 4.9, Employee Evaluation.
Revenue Fund Audited Financial Statements
The Board of Trustees accepted the Larson Allen Weishair & Company
LLP audited report and related management letter on the Revenue Fund
financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1999.
2000 Supplemental Budget Request
The Board of Trustees strongly supports the FY2000 Supplemental Budget
Request recommended by the Chancellor and approves preparation of the
initiatives for the 2000 legislative session.
Information Systems Strategic Plan
The Board of Trustees approved the MnSCU Information Technology Strategic
Plan.
Applied Doctorate Report
The Board of Trustees approved the Chancellor's recommendation to adopt
a plan for additional study of the applied doctorate with a report in
spring 2000.
