Measure 1D: Student Retention Rates - Definitions
- Cohort: Entering students in a specified term.
- Graduated: The cumulative percentage of students
in the cohort that have graduated by the end of the specified term.
- Retained: The percentage of students in the cohort
that have not graduated and are enrolled during the specified term.
- Transferred: The cumulative percentage of students
in the cohort that have not graduated and are not enrolled but have
enrolled at another U.S. institution.
- Success: The cumulative percentage of students
in the cohort that have graduated or transferred plus the percent
enrolled during a specific term.
